Rally Directors and Rangers

Rally Directors

• Rally Wagon Master: Texaz!  I will coordinate with the director roles below and work with the Open Range home office for overall event coordination. 

• Camp Director: Jerry&Lyn! – Jerry and Lyn will work with Fredericksburg RV Park for all things campsite related. This will involve everything from reservations and site assignments. This person will be the "go to" person for the campground and they will help keep the Rally Registration list synced with the Campground’s list of reservations.

• Rally Hall Director: Cothamm! – Mickey and Amy did such an excellent job in 2014 of managing our rally hall.  This year, they will be in charge of everything related to the rally hall. This will include taking possession of the keys, set up, tear down and daily clean up of the rally hall. We will need several volunteer rally rangers to manage the check-in table, keep the coffee hot and the lemonade cold, and assist with keeping the rally hall clean.

• Event Director: Texark! Jerrel and Carol will be responsible for coordinating all the various tours and excursions and putting together the schedule of events. This is another area where I would expect that we would have a bunch of volunteer rangers coordinating each of the individual excursions. They have some exciting things planned, including live music on-site!  The Gift Exchange event would fall under their direction, as well.

• Prize Director: Penman! Chris and Jane will coordinate all of the door prizes. It's amazing what we can get donated for door prizes, if we just have a person or persons dedicated to making the calls or emailing businesses to solicit the merchandise.  If you attended the rally in 2014, you may recall the beautiful wood pieces that we had for door prizes.  These were Penman’s handiwork, and we are thrilled to have him heading up this fun part of the 2015 rally.

•  Dealer Director: LivinTheDream! Curtis and Donna will be responsible for contacting the Texas Open Range dealers to secure sponsorships. We are counting on getting even more dealers involved in sponsorships this year, for everything from catered meals, sponsored services and additional door prizes.  I am excited to have these guys making it a priority to track down and talk to the right person at these dealers.

• Marketing Director: Texaz!  This person will be responsible for the Rally Guide, Online Rally Guide (blog) and event T-shirts based on the "Lone Star State of Mind" theme. 

Rally Rangers

The Directors will be looking for dedicated volunteers to be Rally Rangers.  Our Rally Rangers will be the volunteers that are interested in leading an excursion, or volunteering some time in the Rally Hall.  Please consider how you can get involved.  As we move forward with our planning, we will begin to fill these critical positions.
